i waited all day
but i guess your flight got canceled...

...and they forgot to update the computers.

i waited all night
but i guess you missed the next flight...

...because you got mugged, and your assailant stole your phone.

and threw it out.

and also hit you so hard on the head
you forgot my number
and maybe me.

in fact, you're probably in a coma
a mysterious Jane Doe
(because the mugger stole your wallet
with your driver's license)
so no one know who you are
or that i should be notified.

and i'd come looking for you
but with my luck you'd wake up while i was in the air
and you'd remember all about me
and you'd catch the very next flight
and tragically we'd pass one another in the sky
all unaware
and you'd get here
and i'd be gone
and you'd think i'd given up on you
and you'd feel so sad
and so

abandoned...

i could never do that to you.

so i'll just keep waiting.
