Orb Weaver
I was sad last year that we had such a dearth of spiders (specifically orb weavers, which are awesome), so imagine my delight when I went out to do pull-ups this morning and found that this glorious lady had taken up residence!
I also did an inverted process, just because that makes everything creepier:

She would DIE on our back porch right now: we have two of these lovely (large) ladies who have taken up residence.
DeleteNice! We have no dearth of spiders, here... there's one at a back window so large the girls (ahem, the kitties) watch it with fascination.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen argiopes out there? They're my favorite big spider in our area, black and yellow and with truly impressive webs -- this sort, I mean.
Oh my, lovely lovely! I haven't seen them, but I'll keep an eye out now that I know they exist!
